December 16th - 20th

This year our NDLC and Quinney Council members have chosen to help out military personnel deployed overseas in honor of Adam Hall. Adam is a husband of Amber Hall, an educational assistant for NDLC and Quinney School. He is also the father of Oliver, a fourth grade student at Quinney, and Lilah, a second grade student at Quinney School. Adam's troop was recently deployed and will be gone for 12-14 months. We are looking for our Quinney and NDLC families to donate personal care items, snacks, or money. The monetary donations will be used to cover the cost of shipping and to purchase extra supplies. All items should be new and in original packaging. Thank you in advance for your help in supporting our troops. For item suggestions and to sign up, go to Sign Up Genius. After signing up for items, please send them to school with your child by December 20, 2019.
December 19th, we will be enjoying a Grinch Day! Everything green and Grinch related. We will be watching the original Grinch movie, playing pin the heart on the Grinch, writing about how to make the Grinch grin, and doing a How-To with a fun Grinch snack.
December 20th, we will be celebrating our School Family with a Winter Scoot, movie, and sing-a-long. There will be a fun snack for the Scoot. This is an opportunity for our teachers and students to get to know each other throughout the whole building. Students will be traveling from class-to-class to do fun activities!

Hello!  We have had so much fun the first two days of school.  We are learning each others names and getting to know each other.  We have been practicing routines in our classroom.  I can already tell it's going to be a great year :) Here is a 2nd day of school picture...(since we forgot a first day picture!) And a silly one...because that's the only way I could get them to all smile for the first one!  I hope that you are hearing great things at home too. As always if you have any questions, let me know. -Samantha
