I will definitely miss the students while I am out but I  have worked really hard to make sure that the transition is smooth in our classroom. Mrs. Lemm spent Friday morning with us again and is excited to be working with our class.  If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to reach out to her.  Her email is lemmh@kaukaunasd.org. Thank you for the baby shower on Friday!  We had fun celebrating Baby Ludtke in our classroom.  They all weighed in on some name options and drew pictures of what they think she will look like.  Now it's a waiting game!  We will have to see if anyone is right :) Pink and purple cupcakes were also a special treat!  Classroom News Conferences: Thank you for coming last week!  It was great to get the chance to connect with you before I leave. Seesaw: We are going to be using Seesaw in our class to share what we are learning.  Each child has their own account and on Friday we tried it out for the first time! It is a safe way for you to see their work.  You are able to access the website or app to view their profile.  You are also able to comment and they will be able to see it at school when they login. This week we will be sharing our social studies learning. The link to activate your account is  https://app.seesaw.me/s/188-759-920. Word Study:  We will finish our letter writ

If you haven't signed up here is the link! https://ptcfast.com/schools/NDLC\ Field Trips: On Wednesday we will have our walking trip to Piggly Wiggly.  Please make sure that your child is dressed for the weather and is wearing walking shoes!  This will tie into our community unit and is always a fun trip! This week I will be conducting some 1:1 literacy assessments with each student. In order for me to meet with each child individually, we will have a guest teacher on Thursday in our class.  I will be anxious to share the results of these assessments with you at conferences.   Classroom News Conferences:  Here is the sign up link for conferences.  I look forward to meeting with you!  https://ptcfast.com/schools/NDLC \ Field Trips:   The Kindergarten boys and girls are REALLY looking forward to our field trip this week!    At Heckrodt we will learn more about looking closely (like scientists) and this will have a great impact on our writing...I just know it!   Please be sure your child dresses for the weather on Friday; we will be outdoors for the much of the afternoon.  Also, unless you have ordered a lunch through Chartwells, please send your child with a lunch on this day.  First graders will have a guest teacher in our classroom on Friday afternoon as I attend the trip wi
